Beth's Story

Beth Bosheers is an Alabamian from the Muscle Shoals region well known for the musical talents coming out of the region. Beth has been living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for the last 9 years.  Beth is a singer/songwriter whose style eclipses different genres.  An R&B singer at heart, but Beth's talents easily cross over into country, gospel and Americana.

Beth married a Canadian, Reg Lambert and moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 2006 and began writing and recording songs again, which are now developing into her own albums.

Beth was born and raised in Tuscumbia, Alabama.  Her love of music and talent was obvious from an early age.  Producers at the famed Muscle Shoals Sound studios were eager to record her when she was just 6 years old.  Beth in her obvious wisdom told her Daddy that she thought they were going to ruin her life, at which point her father stopped the opportunity.

Besides singing everywhere she could, and for anyone who would listen, she got her first experience in the studio recording demos for Terry Skinner at East Avalon studio. He inspired her and mentored her and truly believed there was something in Beth that the world needed to hear.

Beth worked with other songwriters, Bill Terry, Ava Aldridge and Walt Aldridge.  Beth felt huge admiration and awe for and of these amazing songwriters and performers!  It was a gift to be with all the above songwriters and she soaked up every bit of knowledge and inspiration.

Then, it was time to record her original lyrics and compositions, which she did at Ava Aldridge's studio and at Muscle Shoals Music Management with Donnie Gullet.

Time in the studio was a real fire starter for a maybe would be singer/songwriter who had a lot of passion, but a lot to learn.  More recording opportunities became available, and it was awe inspiring to record two different projects at Muscle Shoals Sound with production by her mentor, Jimmy Johnson. The studio was filled with an amazing cast of all star local musicians to play the amazing tracks.  This was a dream come true, because Jimmy arranged for David Hood, Roger Hawkins, Clayton Ivey, and Harvey Thompson Sr, to play at the sessions. The background singers were Ava Aldridge, Marie Tomlinson Lewey and Lenny LeBlanc.

This was such an amazing experience, but because Beth was so green, and starstruck, her vocals sounded like a deer in headlights, so the wonderful tracks that were laid in those sessions did not have a seasoned singer to add to the magic.  Not yet.

It was at this time, Beth met Dale Rossington who was at Muscle Shoals Sound with her husband Gary Rossington recording and preparing for the Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute tour.  Dale asked Beth to come along and sing backup in the Rossington Band.  Beth found herself intrigued, but intimidated once again by a huge industry that she both admired and feared.

Beth recorded an album of her original tunes and sold that disc locally in Alabama.  There are always some regrets for roads not taken, but she worked hard at her craft and continued to write songs that she loved. The question of "if" or "when" her songs and singing would be heard by any or everybody who wanted to, as it turns out it was in God's time.

The change in the music industry allows Beth to have control over her life as compared to the past and she now feels encouraged to release her music to the world, rather than a limited audience.  The first single is "We're So Cool It's Hot Down Here" and the next singles will be released over the next short while and then the entire album will be made available.

Today, Beth is finishing off the individual tracks for her album "The River Found Me" and is continuing to write songs.  Please feel free to contact Beth for more information and keep an ear out for her new songs.  If you would like updates on the release of her songs please join her mailing list.
